Sustainability

More purpose.
Less waste.

From rescued berry seeds to ingredients grown closer to home, Mushberry is shaped by a belief that thoughtful skincare should make better use of what nature gives us.

Our approach

Responsibility begins with the formula.

For us, sustainability is not a finishing touch. It begins with deciding which ingredients deserve a place in the bottle.

We look for materials with a story and a purpose: functional mushrooms cultivated close to home, and berry seeds recovered from British food production rather than allowed to go unused.
It is an evolving practice rather than a claim of perfection. We want every decision—from sourcing and formulation to packaging and production—to move Mushberry in a more considered direction.

A second purpose

From fruit by-product to precious oil.

When berries are pressed for food production, their tiny seeds can be left behind. Yet those seeds still contain naturally valuable oils rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants.
By recovering and cold-pressing blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and strawberry seeds, we give these materials another life—and bring their nourishing character into your daily skincare ritual.

  • Recovered from British food production
  • Cold-pressed to preserve their character
  • Blended for nourishment and skin feel

What guides us

Progress through thoughtful choices.

01

Use what already exists

Upcycled berry seeds allow us to find new value in a material created by another British industry.

02

Keep sourcing closer

Locally cultivated mushrooms and British berry oils help us build a formula with a stronger connection to place.

03

Improve as we grow

We treat sustainability as an ongoing responsibility, reviewing materials and processes as better options become available.

A circular mindset

Waste less.
Value more.

One ingredient’s end point can become the beginning of something beautiful.

  1. Fruit is made into food

British berries are pressed for products such as jams and purées.

  2. Seeds are recovered

The remaining seeds are separated rather than treated simply as waste.

  3. Oils are cold-pressed

Careful pressing releases the naturally nourishing oils held inside.

  4. Your ritual begins

The finished oils join our mushroom extracts in one considered formula.

Honest by nature

“Sustainability is not about pretending every answer is already perfect. It is about asking better questions with every decision.”

As Mushberry grows, we will continue looking for practical ways to reduce waste, source responsibly and make every part of the product work harder.
